Return & Exchange Policy

This Return & Exchange Policy outlines the terms for returning or exchanging wooden, metal, and plastic bookshelves purchased from the website. By placing an order, you agree to comply with these terms, which are designed to protect both parties while ensuring fair resolution of issues. We strive to make the return and exchange process clear and efficient for all customers.
You may initiate a return or exchange within 7 days of receiving your order, in line with standard consumer protection regulations. To be eligible, items must be in their original condition—unused, unassembled, with all original hardware, accessories, and product labels intact. Minor (inspection-related) unpacking that does not damage the product or packaging is acceptable; excessive use, assembly, or damage to labels will invalidate eligibility.
Custom-sized shelves, personalized items, or shelves damaged due to improper assembly, misuse, accidental impact, or environmental factors (such as excessive moisture for wooden shelves) are not eligible for return or exchange. For wooden shelves, active insect infestation reported within 2 years of delivery will be addressed under warranty, while metal and plastic shelves with structural damage from normal use are covered by their respective warranties.
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, except in cases of defective products or shipping damage. If your shelf arrives damaged or with manufacturing defects (e.g., warping of wooden shelves, corrosion of metal shelves, cracks in plastic shelves), document the issue with photos of the product and packaging within 48 hours of delivery. We will cover all return shipping costs and arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund at our discretion.
For exchanges, we only replace items with the same model or a comparable alternative if the original model is out of stock. Exchanges for different styles, sizes, or materials are treated as a new order: you must return the original item for a refund (excluding shipping costs) and place a new order for the desired product. Exchanged items will have their warranty period reset from the date of exchange.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item (typically within 3-5 business days), we will process your refund or exchange. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, and processing times depend on your payment provider (usually 3-7 business days). For used items that qualify for return under warranty after repair attempts, a depreciation fee of 0.1% per day may be applied, calculated from the purchase date to the return date.
For defective products covered by our tiered warranty (10 years for metal, 5 years for wooden, 2 years for plastic shelves), we will first attempt to repair the item if feasible. If repair is not possible after two attempts, we will provide a free replacement or full refund, covering all associated shipping costs. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and documentation of the defect.
To initiate a return or exchange, you must first submit a request to notify us of your intent, including order details and the reason for the request. We will provide a return address and instructions; unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed. We reserve the right to inspect all returned items to verify eligibility and determine the appropriate resolution.
This policy does not override mandatory consumer protection laws in your region. If local regulations grant additional rights (such as extended return periods or enhanced warranty coverage), those rights will apply. We may update this policy periodically, and the latest version will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
